Smash / overhead development starts with the feet and accurate positioning and not immediately with technique...
The key to developing good overhead technique is to start slowly and focus on pronation and racket head control.
It's time now to progress to one-on-one drills and work on controlling the ball and correct technique on mini tennis.
The next progression in smash development is to have good control and accuracy at low speed.
This is in my opinion the best drill for developing smash that is highly effective in match situations.
While the smash and the serve are very similar strokes, there are three main differences when it comes to technique.
These tips for 5 different difficult lobs were recorded for Tennis Con 7 but you can also see this video here in the members area.
